Ask not what your birthday can do for you but what it can do for me.

Yesterday was Buster's birthday. That means we celebrate when Buster was born. Here's Buster as a wee boy:

We're a good-looking family.

Anyway, I felt a little bit sad, because no one knows when my birthday is, but decided the best way to resolve that was by declaring that anything Buster got on his birthday, Lucy could have too.

It started Sunday night. My lady (who worked most of the weekend - she has to provide for me in the style to which I've grown accustomed) brought home a new bed and a new toy for Buster's birthday. The bed was perfect - just my size (well, it was "large dog" as opposed to the "very large dog" size I'd prefer. I'm not picky, though). I don't know why it seemed like a good gift for Buster. I hopped right in.

Later, Buster was playing with his new multi-colored squeaky caterpillar. It has TWO different squeakers! I had my eyes on it, but I thought I'd better wait to make my move...

Then came his actual birthday. I got to go to Club Fido for the day and enjoy my Chihuahua cuddle puddle since he got to go play there for his birthday.

When evening came, my lady had bought him STEAK. Shelly took Buster for a walk, but I thought it wise to see what was going to happen with those tender morsels. Well, turns out, my lady was cooking them in butter and bacon. As you can imagine, I expected my share of that! (I'm about 1/10 the size of Buster, so I think I should get at least a full 1/2 portion of anything he gets - right?) When Buster got back - he couldn't believe his nose. Beef AND Bacon? Who knew that could happen?

He was so excited he looked sort of sad he had to wait for it to cool.

I was patient, though - I knew I was about to win the jackpot.

I was pretty tired after a long day of celebrating me.... and his actual party is not until this evening! More to come...
